Welcome to Ask A Behaviorist

At Ask A Behaviorist, we are dedicated to transforming and enhancing the quality of life of children with behavioral and developmental disorders. We know that a child’s behavior can be frustrating, overwhelming, and even sometimes frightening, going so far as to interfere with academic performance and with the close bond that you strive to create with your child. We understand that many parents are so worried about their child’s behavior, they experience symptoms of chronic stress, fatigue, irritability, anxiety, sleeplessness, headaches, heart palpitations, chemical dependency, and marital problems.

There is hope! Behavioral therapy, utilizing the evidence-based practice of Applied Behavioral Analysis, is the answer to many childhood challenges. Within the framework of ethics and standards created by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc., we seek to provide you with the best in parent coaching and behavioral intervention. Each child receives an individualized functional assessment, and each program is specifically tailored to the needs of each family. In general, we seek to:

  • increase positive, adaptive behaviors
  • reduce challenging behaviors and teach positive, alternative behaviors
  • teach functional communication skills
  • increase academic success
  • enhance social skills
  • increase independence
  • improve the quality of life of your child and your entire family system
  • produce enduring changes that are generalized to all of the various settings and environments in your child’s life

If your child is having behavior problems at home, at school, or during activities, call Ask A Behaviorist at (323) 841-2400 or contact us by email at info@askabehaviorist.com.
